The World Cup is finally over. Thank God. So much about Paul the octopus. It was all fun in statistics and probability.
Let’s move on.
A new era is beginning at Seri Tanjung. Hopefully it is a good one.
Many aspiring candidates and early wannabes didn’t turn up. Only 33 eligible owners came to the meeting! And there were only 367 eligible owners from a total of 580 house units. What a shame. After all, these are OUR homes.
One showed up at the end of the meeting, making big noise, but apparently didn’t do his homework. And the chairman of the meeting was quick to the point. Or may be the guy was just raising his point for the benefit of all.
But the Chairman’s response to my excuse of my co-owner’s explicit refusal of any post caught me by surprise. It worked, but it still surprised me. Nevertheless, looking at the lineup, I’m relieved. But I was prepared for the worst. Alhamdulillah.
Notes of meeting shall be available, soon.

good luck & teruskan usaha. teruskan pandang kedepan.
Terima kasih.

I’m not sure we can explain Paul’s getting all his predictions correct to statistics and probability and stop there. The probability of a human, let alone octopus, getting all his predictions correct in a row is a one in a million chance I’d say … Still, to say the animal is psychic is to open a Pandora’s box of challenges to one’s belief system, injuries to human pride and a thumbing of the nose at science itself. Still … there is more in heaven and earth than the mind can ever conjure …
One in a million, you say? Well, perhaps this once, Paul is THE ONE in a million, and we can leave the Pandora’s box alone and move along.

Initially we were made to understand that JMB Seri Tanjung will come into effect on 1 October 2010. Yet until now MPKj’s COB is still unable to issue the JMB Certificate. No one can loudly answer why, including those PKNS officers I met.
But the story goes that the land that was originally a sandy swamp belongs to the state. Then the state directed PKNS to develop the land, hence the Seri Tanjung and surroundings. But the land still belongs to the state, not PKNS. Hence the reason why the JMB Certificate cannot be issued.
And PKNS still cannot complete all the maintenance work it promised to finish by three months of this first JMB meeting.
I guess life continues as before…
