An Old Friend Daughter’s Wedding

The Bride

ditepungilah tawar
hai beras kunyit ditabur
disiram siair mawar

duduk muda sejoli

dihias intan baiduri
sebagai raja sehari

jalan rapat berganding
salam bersalam keliling
sambil mata menjeling

Very old friends, indeed. Army Corporal (R) Osman bin Abu, AMN, PJK, and Noriah binti Tokok (Abang Man and Kak Zah). They were my Mom’s “colleagues” during their younger days. I knew them when they were still singles, back in early 70s. They got married in … 1974?

Their fourth child got married today. My whole family and I (including my Mom) attended the Wedding Reception in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan Darul Khusus.

No, I wasn’t the Wedding Photographer. I was there, and I took photographs whenever I could.

  1. As we’re on An Old Friend Daughter’s Wedding Gurindam Jiwa, One of the best wedding photography tips is to be confident. This helps in a number of different ways. It ensures you are not shy or nervous and miss all the great shots, but also helps because it keeps you from shaking the camera when snapping shots. Even with an expensive, professional camera, the pictures may still come out blurry if you shake when you take pictures if you are nervous and your hands are shaking.

Thanks for the tip. All the way from New Jersey…

  2. Even if you’re only searching for a few easy portraits to document your special day, you are going to have to discover a photographer and book them well in advance.
