A DELEGATION of the Selangor Justices of the Peace (JP) made visited the Sungai Buloh jail recently.
Selangor JP council vice-president Datuk Dr Sri Kumar and MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Michael Chong led the visit, which lasted for three hours.
The Sungai Buloh prison director Narander Singh and other officers welcomed the group of JPs.

The purpose of the visit was to exchange views and also to see the welfare of the prisoners.
Chong, who is also a JP exco member, said he had received many appeals from the prisoners that they were abandoned and disowned by their family members and were seeking forgiveness.
“There are about 5,800 male prisoners and 1,800 of them are illegal immigrants and foreigners,” he said.
